Organic dehydrated alchechengi
Physalis Alkekegi are the berries of a plant, Physalis Alkekegi, which belongs to the Solanaceae family, the same as potatoes and tomatoes and just like potatoes, tomatoes are native to North America.
The Physalis Alkekengi plant looks like a bush that on average does not exceed one meter in height.
The word Alchechengi or Alkekegi derives from the Arabic al-kakang , which literally means "Chinese lantern". Indeed, its bright orange autumn fruits ripen on the plant protected by a red and slightly transparent casing that is papery to the touch, just like a Chinese lantern.
Very rich in vitamin C, approximately double that of lemons, it also contains important doses of calcium, carotenoids and flavonoids. For this reason, berries are recognized as having diuretic, laxative and antioxidant properties.
Our berries are naturally dehydrated, without the addition of sugar.
Ingredients: 100% organic alchechengi.
