Organic Dehydrated Mango

€2,99

The Mangifera Indica, the mango tree, belongs to the Anacardiaceae family. Originally from India, it is now present throughout the tropical zone. It is an evergreen tree, very leafy, up to 35-40 meters tall and with a foliage that can reach up to 10 meters in diameter.

Its fruit is oval, with a peel of different shades: from green to red, passing through various shades of yellow and green. Its pulp is an intense ocher yellow, very sweet and tasty and hides a large and very hard seed inside. A mango can reach up to 15 cm in length and 1 kg in weight, although most mangoes on the market are around 10 cm in length and 300-500 grams.

The word mango comes from the Portuguese manga , which in turn comes from the Tamil word (spoken Tamil Dravidian language spoken in India, Sri Lanka, Singapore and other territories bordering the Indian Ocean) mān-gāy .

It is an energizing fruit: it provides approximately 60 calories per 100 g of pulp. It is very rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, as well as being an important source of fiber and salts. It is recognized as having diuretic, digestive and laxative properties, but also anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties due to the presence of flavonoids such as quercetin. Finally, it is recognized as having aphrodisiac properties due to the presence of high quantities of Vitamin E, which together with Vitamin A participates in the synthesis of sexual hormones

Our mango is dehydrated at low temperatures, which allows it to retain many of its original nutritional characteristics and has no added sugars other than the natural ones of the fruit.

Ingredients: 100% organic mango.

Allergens: May contain traces of nuts, sesame seeds and sesame seed products.

Uses: It is certainly a good alternative for practical and quick healthy snacks, at school or in the office, and can also be used for the preparation of sweet and savory recipes, enriching them with a tropical note.
